Did you know; young adults ages 18 - 29 are the age group most vulnerable to scams? But how do we equip the next generation to recognize and avoid these threats? The answer lies in education! Teaching students about fraud in schools empowers them to protect themselves and make smarter decisions online and off.

Oneota Valley Literary Foundation Partners with Decorah Bank to Promote Financial Literacy Among Children

Oneota Valley Literary Foundation (OVLF) and Decorah Bank & Trust are excited to partner together to promote financial literacy in the local community. Through a grant, OVLF has acquired 94 copies of Priceless Facts About Money by Mellody Hobson, an engaging children’s book that has become a nationwide favorite, recognized as one of Oprah’s Favorite Things of 2024 and a New York Times bestseller. With facts, historical insights, and playful illustrations, the book provides a unique resource for kids to build essential financial skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.

2025 Easter Coloring Contest

The 2025 Easter Coloring Fun is officially underway for both Decorah and Cresco Bank. Parents, stop by our locations and pick up a coloring registration for your kids (or click Read More to print the pdfs). Return by 4:00 pm on Monday, April 14th at the location provided on the registration form. Ten children will win a stuffed bunny for each Decorah and Cresco Bank! For ages 10 and under.
