Feed the Pig" Fundraiser Raises $11,068.38 for Local Food Pantries

Decorah and Cresco Bank & Trust is thrilled to announce that the recent "Feed the Pig" food pantry fundraiser has raised $11,068.38 to support local food pantries in the community. With an aim to come alongside organizations this holiday season, the fundraiser focused on raising funds for the Decorah Community Food Pantry, NEIACA Food Pantry of Winneshiek and Howard Counties, and Greater Area Food Pantry in Calmar.

Community members truly showed their support and generosity, contributing monetary donations that would be divided among the three chosen food pantries. With an additional $2,500 from Decorah and Cresco Bank, $2,500 from Gillette Pepsi Decorah (GPC), and $2,500 worth of pork from Lynch Family Companies, a combined total of $11,068 was raised. This remarkable effort demonstrates just how powerful community giving can be when people join together for a worthy cause.

Each of the food pantries accepts monetary and food donations year-round. We encourage community members who may be interested in future donations to reach out to the individual food pantries involved. Your support can make a tangible difference in the lives of others, ensuring no one goes hungry this holiday season and beyond.
