The End of an Era: Thoughts from Donna Thomas Upon Retirement

Marketing has graciously let me take over the blog to share a few thoughts on my last day at Cresco Bank & Trust. I want to say THANK YOU to everyone that came to my retirement celebration and for all those that sent me well wishes. It was an amazing evening and one of those times in my life I will never forget.

I can’t express enough thanks to everyone involved in making it so special. The employees here at Cresco Bank & Trust are amazing bankers and they know how to put together a one-of-a-kind send-off. I’m forever thankful for all of them.

It’s been an amazing 45-year career and one I have enjoyed very much, but now it’s time to turn things over to Andy Ludeking, who will become the Cresco Market President. Andy, a long-term and very talented banker, grew up in the Ridgeway area and went to school here in Cresco. Andy has 20+ years of banking experience with most of them right here in Cresco. I could not be happier to have Andy move into my role. Having worked side-by-side with him for nearly 15 years, I know he is dedicated and ready to handle the job.

You might know Andy already – he is a recognized leader in the community with his involvement on the Howard-Winn School Board, the Cresco Industrial Development Corporation, the Howard County Business & Tourism Board and the Howard County Mutual Insurance Board. You may also recognize him from attending local sporting events – he’s a regular fan in the stands and has spent countless hours coaching various youth teams.

As I turn this page to begin my retirement, I am thrilled with the team we have in place – I know they will not miss a beat. Thanks again to all the customers, community partners and co-workers who through the years have become dear friends – it is you all that have made my time at the bank so special.
